Six things that make you go...hum

Well, i'm on the road again (the life of a vagrant ecologist) and like clockwork one of the meme things is passing around. I've been watching it pass through the circle of blogs I read like a nasty cold and I thought perhaps I had escaped this one since I've been out of contact, but no.....thank you, Dr Dr A, for making sure I "didn't feel left out". Very....kind. Oh well, I was going to write about this quite intriguing dream I had about PhysioProf the other night (no, Isis, it did not consist of PhysioProf washing your feet in lavender water as he worshipped you for the true goddess you are) , but maybe I'll remember it when I get a chance to write another blog entry next week.

Here are the rules:

  • Link to the person who tagged you.
  • Write six random things about yourself.
  • Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
  • Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
  • Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

1) When River Tam was a little girl, she had an invisible friend named "Little Girl", who had no problems telling River's mother when she didn't like what River's mother was doing.

2) River Tam used to go around every Spring, saving all the caterpillars by collecting them and putting them in the mailbox with handfuls of grass. River's mother kindly asked her to stop by pointing out that this was really freaking out the mail man.

3) Art museums are crack to River: addictive and exhilarating, she goes out of her way to find them, and they are a major drain on her productivity.

4) River's goal is to visit every continent except Antarctica (for an explanation of this see #5); she has currently visited 3 of them.

5) River thinks that winter is proof that God exists and hates us.

6) River's college minor is listed as Physics/Math/Chemistry...she has no idea why.

Holy crap, I have to spread this cold to SIX people? Let's see....how about Fia, Nat, Cath@vwxynot (my chaos twin), and...ah screw it. I have no patience for coming up with six people who have not already received this! Enjoy!

Sorry mate, I've already done this one...

You're clearly not a skier! I got a completely new perspective on winter when I moved here and had my first few lessons.

Crap! I'm behind in my Reader...

Yes, I get the skiing thing a lot, but whenever I ask if I have to go outside in winter to ski, everyone says yes and this has been a major deal breaker for me!

..its already snowed here... and snow is in the forecast for tomorrow.... :-(

I for one, was born in sunny Florida, and I don't know why the heck my parents decided to uproot my sorry butt in this silly state....

p.s. love the caterpillar story...

Wait, he wasn't washing my feet in lavender-scented water? I find that terribly hard to believe.

You had a quite intriguing dream about Comrade PhysioProf!?!? And you're not telling us about it!?!?!?

If your dream was anything about PP going commando, I'm not sure I want to hear about it :)

Eugenie - I think the catepillars indicated early my predisposition towards ecology! I have wondered how many other ecologists have similar nature stories.

snow....shudder

@isis - just because that's not what he was doing in my dream, doesn't mean that he won't be washing your feet forever in the blogosphere...

@ComradePhysioProf/PiT - No dream evidence to report about Comrade PhysioProf's claim re: "going commando", though I will admit the dream involved an evening with Comrade PhysioProf, but I suspect it was a CPP impostor because there was no swearing...
honestly, I think it was my brain telling me to get my ass back on the blogosphere.

I must co-sign on nummer 5 because it is totally true. Every time my hair frosts because winter is Not Cool with my early morning shower routine I know it's just Jesus's way of saying he does not give a crap.

Were we having fun?

River Tam-

Beware- if CPP wasn't cursing in your dream it wasn't the REALLY CPP,... but just some cheap impostor!

Drugmonkey said...

Did the imposter continually refer to the Ituri forest?

I like it that you want to visit eery continent. But why not Antarctica? I would go right away if given the opportunity.
My meme is up :-) Thanks for tagging, it was my first time.

I had an imaginary friend too, named Lefty. I have a feeling this is because when I was 3 my grandparents made me write with my right hand even though it seemed I was left handed. To this day, I write with my right but do everything else left handed.
Poor Lefty died in a tornado though. Since then, nothing has been Right. :)

I'd like to have a dream about our dear CPP.

You'll have to tell us what yours was about.

Finally it's up.
. Sorry it took so long!

Nat, they make a pill for that...

Nat Blair said...

But do they make a pill to ease the burning of hot coffee expelled via the nostrils? Cause now on top of all my not-so-hard problems, I'm suffering from that as well!

:)

another little tip Nat, you should swap the baby over to the right side to even out those pumpkins....
